I heard about Pinterest months ago, maybe even a year ago, and I kept thinking I’ll check it out when I get a chance. Now, it seems to be a prominent source on the social media scene and I’m behind on the times, but I’m jumping on the bandwagon and loving the ride.
The idea is not new; it’s a basic think board, an online collection of your favorite images and photos in one convenient location. Pinterest is a content sharing service that allows members to “pin” images, videos, and other objects to their pinboard. Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
I only created a Pinterest account a few weeks ago, but I’m hooked. I’ve been posting my favorite articles there with links back to my blog! It’s the perfect way to expand your audience while having a place with a collection of your favorite things. When others share your pins, it expands the access to your blog as well. (Don’t forget to link your blog to your Pinterest account and add links back to your blog below Pinterest photos.)
