On the night of fashion 2012, great success of Vogue in Florence
The biggest parade that Florence has ever hosted, like a parade in the open. No models, or at least not alone. Women and girls for a night they had the opportunity to wear “that dress”, hat, shoes, bought, which was always too fancy or out of place. Yesterday, the “challenge”, unspoken, by all the participants of the white night of fashion, has seen thousands of people in the streets of the historic center.
This year was the first time the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out shadow of the Dome, in contrast to Milan, where he established a habit which is then followed Rome. Now it happened to Florence. And how could the city of David and Venus, can look bad in the eyes of the world? So between sheath dresses, high heels, bell-bottom pants and hats with the brim, Florence presented the business card trends, (because ‘it is in the street where you hunt down). Three hundred stores that have participated installations, cocktails, dj-set, competitions and previews. Of course there were looks of defiance among the participants in a national fashion show. Some also appreciation for a shoe or the leopard skinny jeans.

La più grande passerella che Firenze abbia mai ospitato, come una sfilata a cielo aperto. Niente modelle, o almeno non solo. Donne e ragazze che per una sera hanno avuto la possibilità di indossare “quel vestito”, il cappello, le scarpe, comprato, che era sempre troppo elegante o fuori luogo. Ieri la “sfida”, sottaciuta da tutte e tutti i partecipanti della notte bianca della moda, ha visto migliaia di persone nelle strade del centro storico.
Quest’anno era la prima volta del Vogue Fashion’s Night Out all’ombra del Cupolone, al contrario di Milano dove è un’abitudine consolidata a cui poi è seguita Roma. Ora è toccato a Firenze. E come poteva la città del David e della Venere sfigurare agli occhi del mondo? Così tra tubini, tacchi a spillo, pantaloni a zampa e cappelli con la tesa, Firenze ha presentato il proprio biglietto da visita sulle tendenze, ( poiche’ è proprio in strada dove si scovano). Trecento i negozi che hanno partecipato con installazioni, cocktail, dj-set, concorsi e anteprime. Certo non mancavano sguardi di sfida tra le partecipanti al défilé cittadino. Alcuni anche di apprezzamento per un scarpa leopardata o per dei jeans attillati.
