Olive oil festival and XXVII Exhibition white Truffle of the Crete Senesi

Innovative, full of events and tasty: it will be the 27th White Truffle Market Exhibition of the Crete Senesi to be held in San Giovanni d’Asso (SI) in the two weekends of 10-11 and 17-18 November and was presented Wednesday, Sept. 19 in Rome Mayor Michele Boscagli during the opening press conference of the season truffle truffle organized by National City.

“The program for 2012, in collaboration with the Association Truffle Senesi, is enriched with some new features – said the Mayor of San Giovanni d’Asso Michele Boscagli – that will interest all lovers of the “tuber Magnatum pico”: will be presented new traceability system for truffles in collaboration with the University of Siena Department of Environmental Sciences and with it the new QR Quality of protection against counterfeiting, topics that are dear to fans of the precious tuber, eager to continue to bring still along the fruit of this land on their table.

These are just some of the topics to be explored in two weekends, as already said, are enriched in the program to invite guests and visitors to extend their stay, thus extending the enjoyment of our excellent food and wine. In particular, I want to point out in San Giovanni d’Asso in the first weekend of the Exhibition will be held the first national gathering of campers “Friends of the Truffle”.

Both the weekend of 10-11 than in the November 17 to 18, therefore, the white truffle of the Crete Senesi is the absolute protagonist of the 27th Exhibition staged in the streets of the country, which will be attended workshops of art, local crafts and local products. So how will the protagonist – the two on Saturday – the guided search of the “Diamond of Crete” in the Mabbione with truffle truffle Truffle Association Senesi (by reservation), and dell’apericena the Truffle Museum and the streets of the village.

“The season – said the President of the Association Truffle Senesi Valentino Berni – it begs to be discovered if the quality is as always excellent, the amount so far have been limited due to the weather, but we are confident in their improvement since the beginning of November. ”

Common to both weekend also guided the tasting of truffle (on reservation) and the  -“Bussino del Gusto”, conceived as a real service for the benefit of gourmets, which will be conducted in degustativi tour to discover the typical products among landscapes of the Crete (max 15 seats, reservations required € 5).

It is tasted but there is also a series of collateral events dedicated to white: Saturday, November 11 in the Fireplace Room at the Castle you will talk about “The culture of Truffle UNESCO as an intangible asset: the land where he was born, the experiences, perspectives future for rural areas and the question of annexation “and Sunday, November 12 will be held at the Castle the 15th edition of Flavours Senesi, tasting and free proclamation of the best Senese pecorino produced with the assistance and cooperation of the Agricultural Consortium of Provincial Siena. The morning of the 17th the attention of fans of the tuber Magnatum pico and truffle will be focused on the meeting “Siena Grow Nose: Crete Senesi, truffles and truffle-like development of rural areas”, while in the afternoon you can watch the presentation and awarding of 3rd photo contest “OneClikOneWeek” reserved for tourists of the Crete Senesi and the Val d’Orcia and organized by Pro Loco di San Giovanni d’Asso. Also Sunday, 18 of which will delight with the presentation of the dishes of the 4th culinary competition for young chefs “The white truffle and …” aimed at catering establishments in central Italy.

The two-day on Saturday, the show continues after dinner: 10 November the company Oranona / Ginola Casciani has in the Hall of the Castle “Dinner in the scene. Festa dell’Olio e XXVII Mostra Mercato del Tartufo Bianco delle Crete Senesi

Innovativa, ricca di eventi e gustosa: così sarà la 27° Mostra Mercato del Tartufo Bianco delle Crete Senesi che si terrà a San Giovanni d’Asso (SI) nei due fine settimana del 10-11 e 17-18 novembre e che è stata presentata mercoledì 19 settembre a Roma dal sindaco Michele Boscagli durante la conferenza stampa di apertura della stagione tartufigena organizzata dall’Associazione Nazionale Città del Tartufo.

“Il programma per il 2012, realizzato in collaborazione con l’Associazione Tartufai Senesi, si arricchisce di alcune novità – ha spiegato il Sindaco di San Giovanni d’Asso Michele Boscagli – che interesseranno tutti gli estimatori del tuber Magnatum pico: verrà infatti presentato il nuovo sistema di tracciabilità del tartufo in collaborazione con l’Università di Siena Dipartimento di Scienze Ambientali e con esso anche il nuovo sistema QR Quality di protezione dalle contraffazioni, argomenti che stanno a cuore agli appassionati del prezioso tubero, desiderosi di continuare a portare ancora a lungo il frutto di questa terra sulla propria tavola. Questi sono solo alcuni dei temi da approfondire nei due week end, che come già detto si arricchiscono nel programma per invitare ospiti e visitatori a prolungare la loro permanenza, estendendo così anche il godimento delle nostre eccellenze eno-gastronomiche. In particolare, ci tengo a segnalare che proprio a San Giovanni d’Asso nel primo fine settimana di Mostra Mercato si terrà il primo raduno nazionale di camper “Amici del Tartufo”.

Sia nel fine settimana del 10-11 che in quello del 17-18 novembre, dunque, il Tartufo Bianco delle Crete Senesi sarà il protagonista assoluto della 27° Mostra Mercato allestita per le vie del paese, a cui parteciperanno botteghe d’arte, di artigianato locale e prodotti tipici del territorio. Così come sarà protagonista – nelle due giornate di sabato – della ricerca guidata del “Diamante delle Crete” nell’area tartufigena del Mabbione con i tartufai dell’Associazione Tartufai Senesi (su prenotazione), e dell’apericena al Museo del Tartufo e per le vie del Borgo.

“La stagione – commenta il Presidente dell’Associazione Tartufai Senesi Valentino Berni – è tutta da scoprire: se la qualità è come sempre eccellente, le quantità finora sono state scarse a causa del clima, ma confidiamo in un miglioramento proprio a partire dagli inizi di novembre”.

Comune a entrambi i fine settimana anche le degustazioni guidate di tartufo (su prenotazione) e il “Bussino del Gusto”, concepito come un vero e proprio servizio a beneficio dei buongustai, i quali saranno condotti in tour degustativi alla scoperta dei prodotti tipici fra i paesaggi delle Crete (max 15 posti, prenotazione obbligatoria 5€).

Si degusta ma si assiste anche a una serie di appuntamenti collaterali dedicati all’oro bianco: sabato 11 novembre nella Sala del Camino al Castello si parlerà de “La cultura del Tartufo come bene immateriale UNESCO: il territorio dove nasce, le esperienze, le prospettive future per i territori rurali e la domanda di annessione” mentre domenica 12 novembre si terrà sempre al Castello la 15° edizione del Premio Sapori Senesi, degustazione guidata gratuita e proclamazione dei migliori pecorini senesi realizzata con il contributo e la collaborazione del Consorzio Agrario Provinciale di Siena. La mattina del 17 l’attenzione degli estimatori del tuber Magnatum pico e dei tartufai sarà concentrata sull’incontro “Siena Coltiva Tartufo: Crete Senesi, tartufo e tartuficoltura come sviluppo del territorio rurale”, mentre nel pomeriggio si potrà assistere alla presentazione e premiazione del 3° concorso fotografico “OneClikOneWeek” riservato ai turisti delle Crete Senesi e della Valdorcia e curato dalla Pro Loco di San Giovanni d’Asso. Anche domenica 18 ci sarà di che deliziarsi, con la presentazione dei piatti del 4° concorso culinario per giovani cuochi “Il tartufo bianco e…” rivolto agli istituti alberghieri del centro Italia.

Numerosi anche i momenti di spettacolo all’aperto come la gara dimostrativa di tiro con l’arco dell’Orto di Sesto, le rappresentazioni della Compagnia del Drago Nero ispirate al “Medioevo Fantastico” e gli sbandieratori di San Quirico d’Orcia. Nelle due giornate di sabato, lo spettacolo continua anche dopo cena: il 10 novembre la compagnia Oranona/Ginola Casciani presenta nel Salone del Castello “La cena in scena. Cena a base di tartufo con spettacolo” (su prenotazione allo 0577.80 29 39, costo 70€, max 70 persone) mentre il 17 sarà il Cortile del Castello ad ospitare la performance della Compagnia del Drago Nero “Fuoco: spettacolo coreografico con giochi di fuoco e luce”.

Nell’agenda di Crete d’Autunno 2012 anche alcuni appuntamenti legati al sociale, come la consegna del premio Il Tartufo della Solidarietà: Il tartufo insieme a Marco Columbro in aiuto dei bambini tibetani di Help in Action e la consegna del Premio Internazionale “Un Tartufo per la Pace”, insignito della medaglia dal Presidente della Repubblica Italiana.

Durante i due fine settimana sarà attivo la mattina un Treno Storico a vapore per arrivare a San Giovanni d’Asso: domenica 11 partirà da Siena mentre il 18 arriverà da Grosseto. Il rientro nelle destinazioni di origine avverrà nel pomeriggio con Treno Natura a vapore. Per l’intera durata della manifestazione, i ristoranti del territorio comunale aderenti all’iniziativa “Novembre a Tavola” proporrano degustazioni di piatti al tartufo, che il pubblico potrà trovare anche negli stand gastronomici della Pro Loco di San Giovanni d’Asso e dell’Associazione Tartufai Senesi.
